Pics of armour in "Castlevania" games?

Post by Prince Of Darkmoor »

Yeah, I know it's an odd request. One of my sister's friends is going to be making a horror movie based off of the Castlevania video game series and he wants us to do the maille and plate armour for the actors. Woohoo! It's going to be a really dark, spooky movie so I'm guessing that some of the armour is sort of a gothic style, but I haven't ever played any of the games, so I don't know.

Anyone know of any sites online that show pictures of the Castlevania characters' armour?

I played the first 3 when they were early nintendo system games, but i believe the game went on to other more advanced systems
In the games im familliar with the hero was more of a doublet wearing type, i only recall armour on some of the "baddies"

I think Simon (the Hero) is supposed to be wearing some sort of leather outfit in those games. I've been cruising through some classic video-gaming sites lately and a lot of them have rips of images from the games turned into GIFs and such. When I get home I'll look through my bookmarks and see if I can find some decent links to Castlevania for you.

PoD do a search for Mame's (multi-arcade-machine-emulators) on google. There are all kinds of Nintendo emulators floating around, and you can usually find the binaries floating around too.

Or Start here : http://www.mame.net

Or you might check out these:

http://www.fortunecity.com/tattooine/davros/57/cchar1.html

http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/links.htm

http://www.geocities.com/anapan8/cv/

Most of them seem to be centered mostly on the latter few installments of the Castlevania saga... not too much from the original.
