Don't quite know what to make of all this scuffle. Been working all day in the shop making "shitty" armor :D . Still since I got my projects done early I spend the other half of the day running the new compound curve tests.

It's really not as pretty as it should be and I had PLENTY of failures. Oven cooking HDPE is really a bitch but at least I know that the theory is sound. All I've got to do now is suss out consistancy in heating. I was really worried about critical temperature and strength loss from the uneven heating so try to tests. Hammer and rattan did no detectable damage after a thorough pounding. So....

That's my wifes Odyssey parked on it. I let it frost up in the snow and tried it again.

It got a little muddy. Otherwise just fine.

Looks tougher than my existing pattern and eventually looks to be faster than than cut and fold riveting with a prettier product.

Neat. I like it!

Best Regards,
Jordan

ps. Stop swearing.

no, it is a plastic compund curve for testing purposes.....

I don't like plastic either, but if its covered, I can get over it. DVA, keep up the testing, I see better shaped armour on your horizon. I still wouldn't buy it, but I would recomend it as an alternative. If it is shaped right and can be covered...
