Hi!
I'm considering having some dishing bowls machined out of stock. What radius do you think should be cut into the stock?

I'd love to see pictures of your bowl, and I will copy the design, if that's o.k.
I was going to have 2 or three made with different depths of bowl. I was going to have the machine shop that laser-cut my COP plates do it http://www.impulsemfg.com

We use a lot of different dishes. Some of them have very precise radii to allow forming of specific pieces, others are just various depths to allow us to make lots of different shapes.
I don't have them here, but I think the 'bascinet bowl' was about 6" radius (somewhere between 5 1/2 and 6 I am sure).
Having both shallower and deeper is nice - I have more deeper ones than shallower ones, but that is the luch of the draw since I use the bottoms of tanks (actually about 3' of the bottoms of tanks - who needs bases or tables...).
