loot and treasure

Well I have now gotten back from my road-trip up north. Sydney is a horrible and obnoxius city that seems designed to make navigating it by car a thing beyond mere nightmare (Picking the wrong lane for just one second could see you piped down the road between high concrete barriers to destination you never imagined existed and have no idea of how to find your way home from). If I ever go to hell, it will be in a setting of Sydney traffic and parking conditions. but I digress....

In addition to getting dragged off to spend 7 1/2 hours dancing at a nightclub (not my normal scene at all....It is scary to think that there are people in the world that I consider to be MY evil influences!) I aslo got to have a drink or two with our now Ex-West-Queen and newest proto-countess. Attacked her with calipers. and researched in books that made my brain melt.
Went to see "the count of monte christo" remake because neither of us knew enough about the armour and costume of the period to critiscise. Not a bad film...
I went to a leather place and got close to $200 of leather-stamping gear and buckles (and I went there because they were clearing stock and discontinued lines at up to 70% off!)....So I feel I got reasonable value for my money!
On the way home I stopped in at the place of someone that no longer armours and arranged the hire of his B1...which is now lurking in my workshop until Ivar or someone else wonderful can manage to procure me a B2 (sort of my own holy grail...and the thing is I am willing to pay money and everything!)
Got home at about midnight and discovered that an e-bay auction I had fogotten i had bid on has yielded me a genuine whitney punch 5jr with all the bits for about $15US.
So, all in all a good time was had.
Tired now.
Feet hurt.
Ears still ringing.
Feel goooood.
