Italian anime c. 1560 **pic**
This is an anime breast/back I am working on (there is a lot of clean-up left to do, I know). It still needs to be articulated, polished, and the gussets, fauld, tassets, and gorget attached. I am basing it off of the one shown in plate CXV of European Armour in the Tower of London ( if anyone has a scanner or the picture of this online I would appreciate you posting it for comparrison).

Thanks everyone.
Anime is a breastplate made from strips rather than large plates. The strips are articulated on leathers and with sliding rivets. The book I am getting this idea from is great because it actually has inside shots of the breast and back so I know exacctly how to put it together. I will post pictures of the insides once everything is done.
The pins holding everything together are Clecos. They are temporary rivets. I love using them!
Janos: I would owe you big time if you could get me some other shots.

Pathfinder: Yes, a burgonet. And yes, this is my baby
Wade: Should I make it more tubular? Yeah, I am not looking forward to all the fine sanding around the "fancy" bits.
I decided to try taking a picture of the picture
Guess I should have turned off the flash. Oh well, you get the idea.

Hehe, no I don't look too much like a tube
The detailing was done using a 5/16 punch, chisels, and files. If you look at the pattern sitting under the plates you can kind of see my notes on the pattern itself
Thanks again for the compliments.

Bummer I missed you. I will be around tomorrow and Monday if you are so inclined to take another trip.
Wow! I just ran out to the shop. I will post about it in another thread.
