Who's a good supplier for sanding belts?

Post by Larien »

I'm down to the finishing work on my second project (pauldrons), and determined that I am in need of some 300 and 600 grit sanding belts. I've searched the net, but really haven't found any good sources for them (and forget my local hardware stores, 120 is the finest they go).

Anyone know of a good sanding belt supplier? I need 2" belts, 42 inches long or longer.

Thanks in advance!

K&G Finishing supplies (don't remember the url off hand)

www.supergrit.com (by far the cheapest if you buy 10-20)

I have been more than happy with my dealings with Barb Snyder.

She inherited the business from her dad and now runs B Snyder abrasives.

Someone suggested Barb at one point. Tom was in need of some belts for his new toy and I told him about her.

She had what he needed, she shipped quickly and the prices seem to be the best around.

I would certainly try her first the next time I need that kind of thing.
