Sinric, a simple question on your greathelm pattern... on the arms of the brass eyeslot cross, does the curving part belong up or down? I made one and will post pics of my result later today... but due to an error on my part (I didn't flare the eyeslot edges) I had to do some corrective surgery to work out the arms on the cross. The next one I do, I will not make the same error... but I wondered.
I think Sinric is out of town at a sky-diving convention. I'll call him tonight to see if he is around. If he is gone, it might be a while before he gets back to you. It isn't because he is ignoring you however.
Chef, no worries... it's not a matter of immediate importance. I'm not sure when I'm going to make another helm of that specific design, includig the brass cross. I thought that clearing up that minor issue would be useful for future reference.
