Would making rings from black anodized wire chip off and destroy the anodize coating through the proccess of coiling and HSS Jewlers saw cutting?

For Al, probably. I'm out of state at the moment and left all my mail stuff at home. If no one has answered by the time I get back I'll take my saw to some Al rings and let you know.

If the anodizing was done corectly, you should be OK but lay in a good supply of saw blades. That coating is way harder than the steel saw blades so they tend to dull quickly (sort of like what happens when you cut sandpaper with scissors)

eh... I've nix'd the idea of using anodized alum wire. I think I am going with TRL's bright aluminum for a fantasy pice I want to make.
Thanks though. I have not put the idea out of mind that I may want to play around with anodized aluminum in the furute.
