my second helm progress pics

ok here is my second helm,progress so far.
three days from cutting out to this stage.
sinric pattern,16 gauge mild should have the brass on this weekend :D.
this one is going ok so far :D.

thanks for the nice comments :D,to answer questions,i dont know any one yet as i have only been doing this for about three weeks,it would be nice to meet other people in leicester who are making armour :D.
the top is welded so it was easy to dish only took a morning to get that together.
hope to get the brass on this weekend then thats another one done.
going to work my way through sinric's patterns till i get better at it :D

Good looking work - is ti for SCA combat? You might want to check to see if the eye slot is legal - looks a bit wide to me.

Shiny is always good.... :cool:

I think that's more a homebuilt Boba Fett -- the classic BF is with the skull made of a cut-down Army helmet with its rim removed, and a related type uses a spuntop -- than a sugarloaf, but it's going to be a quite well executed SCAdian Boba Fett when it's done. Nice neat metalwork. The Marshallate will want some bars in the center of the sight.
