Orkney?

I just was looking at some Roman Greaves, and fell upon the Orkneys (?sp?) I'm kind of confused as to what they're all about but, it looks flippin' bad-ass. Could someone tell me what thats all about?

The Orkneys is the name of an SCA war unit here in Caid (So. Cal.), formed some 10 years ago as a shock unit. The entire focus of the unit is to simply be the best war fighters they can be, to work as a team, and to party hard.
Their new website should be up sometime soon and they will be out at GWW this weekend as usual.
