rebraces

I have a really nice set of Chartres arms from Cet.

I bought a set of nice spring spaulders from Kalus

I have nothing on my upper arm, i need rebraces. I made a set and they are under whelming. i know that Geoffery the Younger made a similar set up for Klaus.

Anyone have any pics of how they set up the rebraces on a Chartre's style 14th century arm?

Mine would work i think, i just don'e like em.

Klaus i know you gots some pics.

Mine seem to not work quite right where the bottom of the rebrace meets the elbow. Any close ups of that?

Oh and can you document just the front of the foot on the sabaton???

I have some from Trilobyte, they're pretty good in the toes but my greave i'sn't working quite right with the heels and straps.

Since those photos, the arms have since been re-sized, sent to me, tested, repacked and put on a truck. They'll be joining me in CA in a couple of weeks, at which point they will probably need one more round of tweaking before they're fieldworthy. So have patience, grasshopper.

where are the points attached to the metal?

On the side or on the back, over the tricep?

I'm hinking it may just be easier to attach them to the pauldron like another lame.

Which means i'll need to get a set in spring and the attach em.

Maybe i should just get my arm back faster so it does'nt get hit when i land a shot.

Those sabatones (if you mean just covering the front) are totally popular in the 1st half of the 14th, here are just a few effigies that come to mind:

so the sabs like that are too early for most of my rig.

Well Val tinkered with mine, they should fit a bit beter now, and the articulation is smoothed out. Gonna try em tomarrow. But i'll need a new pair of shoes to point em too. Before their combat ready. I think i'm gonn have to rebuild the whole heel plate because of the way it interacts with my greave, replace the buckles too. I think i'll see what Talbot, HE and Brian have. Maybe a nice steel medieval buckle.

I've got the rebraces i built and i'm gonna try em. If the mild ones function and don't get toooo much in my way. I'll re build em in 18 ga spring, cause mild is soft as clay and weighs a ton.

I'm trying to get a bigger pic of the ones Geoffery did, he's damn good and i'd love to make mine based on his.

I think the only addition later is a backif thats any consolation. I can relook for some later ones, these were just the first that I remembered as I was contempating 1st half of 14th armour a few days back,
