I just thought i would let people know that today at 2:00 the Axel Guttmann Collection goes on the auction block at Christies.
While i certainly can not afford any of the items i did recieve my auction catalog today.
The Guttman Collection contains an insane amount of artifacts from the bronze age.
Part one contains 120 or so diff items, spear heads, mace heads, celtic and greek and samnite helms and cuirasses, bronze "battle belts", roman helms, gladiatorial arms and armour. there is realy to much to describe.
Semi hard cover, excellent quality images and descriptions, this is now a definate favorite in my collection, ive yet to see a book that contains such a wide variety of bronze age arms and armour.
You can get it at the Christies web site
It gets my stamp of approval
