Water Buffalo hide...the bane of leathercrafters!

Post by Mordakie the Dark »

I've been soaking these scale pieces in water all morning and they still wont form. How smart is ordering the hide of an animal who's skin is waterproof to make water hardened armor? DUH!

I finally got it formed into a nice chest and back piece for what I call "Dragon Scale" armor. It's just a pain in the ass to try to water form when the stuff is mega waterproof on one side.

I doubt it. I still have to make pauldrons, a full leg harness, a helmet, and vambraces. *If* I have any scraps that are useable, I will post it when I get them. It looks like 1 full side will make this set plus my 12 oz scraps I get in from Brettuns.
