suggestions needed!

Post by Armoured Air Bear »

Hi all,
I hope I'm posting this in the right area. (doesn't really fit any of the other ones)

but anyways I'm going to start a large leather picture this weekend (3 day weekend 8) ) and I'm looking of suggestions of pictures to do. It's going to be a historical picture- woodcut, painting, illumination... As an example I've already done Maximillian and his armourers- the woodcut by Hans Bruner. so I'm looking for things like that. any period illumination, woodcut, painting, drawing that you think would be cool to see done out of tooled leather will be considerd.

Thank you,

Aaron

BTW- Right now I'm highly considering doing the engraving by Durer (spelling?) knight death and the devil. but whatever response from this thread that I get I may change my mind.

Have you ever glanced through De Re Metallica by Agricola?

Hi Mr. Bear.

I think one of the plates from the McBible would be cool.

Well I started it. I chose to Albrect Durers "Knight Death and the Dvil" AKA "the Rider". I blew up the picture so it's about 21"X29". So it's pretty big. I'm just tracing it right now- have about three-four hours tracing done and not even a quarter of the way finished tracing  . but oh well, It's gonna be AWESOME! 8) (that is if I don't screw it up  )

Will try and post pics when done in a week or two,

Aaron

BTW thank you all for your suggestions.
