Mail elbow and knee protection

Post by Jon »

Hope to see what others are doing. I'm working on assembling Mac bible stuff to fight in (SCA) and wanted to know how others who have similar outward armour (mail) handle knee and elbow protection. Hidden cops? Visible cops? Splints and Cops? Plates/Gambeson combinations? Thanks in advance.

For the authentic look I would say as much hidden as possible, I also really love that look.

Downhillers' bicycle armor is the latest wrinkle in this. It's regarded as valuable for keeping your various bones in their accustomed places and functions (crashing on rocks is, like, demanding) but it's also thought of as less than macho if your armor is showing -- logic? Ha.

Anyway, the stuff is practically no-profile and is getting really popular among the hauberked personae.
