I am very impressed with the Gauntlets I just recieved today from them. Origionaly ordered them on 28 Dec but Master Glendor was out of town. Recieved word Jan 5th that he had sold the pair listed on his site, but was finishing up a few pairs on the following friday, 10 Jan. 11 Jan was told they were in the Mail. Recieved them today 16 Jan in England, not to shabby. The gauntlets are brushed SS looking to be 16/18 ga. Sturdy and fully covering, the size is medium, but feels and looks more like a med/large which is very good for me. With glove and a bit of padding they should work exellent. He didn't even bother to take my money that was sitting in his pay pal account untill after they were shipped out. I would recommend his armories and his service.

Glad to hear that you like them. I have a friend of mine that wanted me to help him make gauntlets. As an apprentice of Glendour's, I didn't want to copy his pattern. I thought about what shape I could make instead, but I couldn't think of anything I've EVER seen that beats his for protection and function.
So, I told him that he'd really be better off waiting until Glendour made some, then get them from him.
As someone with a $500,000 debt load riding on my hands, I wear them exclusively. They have the absolute best thumb protection, while not mucking about with that "welded tip" thumb that prevents you from grabbing a weapon properly.

Trevor, my knight Sir Asoph agrees with you. What he wants to do know is to talk Glendour into making a pair out of spring steel and hardeneing... then you'll have great thumb protection, good mobility, and light weight.

THAT's a good question. I'll bring it up to him, but his knowledge of hardening spring-steel armor is limited to weapon-making. I don't know how he'll react. How much is your knight willing to pay for them?
That being said, I can attest that his new stainless gauntlets are 18 g. with 16 g. knuckles for strength. Lighter than his mild steel ones, by far.
