Hey sandcasters...

Post by Vitus von Atzinger »

I have taken this lame Tandy buckle and I am filing it into a nice medievalish style (it ain't finished).
Any sandcasters here want to copy it?
It will need about two minutes on the wheel to get the scratches out, and then it will be good to go.

Unless you are using the modern fancy petrobond sands to cast, having it polished won't matter. Green sand just doesn't hold that much detail.

Hey Vitus,

Richard here (Knotwolf Armory), we met some time ago in Mandrake's shop. I cast all my helm bronzes in the nice Petro-Bond casting sand. I'd be happy to try & run some of those in with one of my normal batches for you. I'm out for a few weeks recovering from a bit of hand surgery but should be back in the shop betwen Estrella & GW.

Just hit my website if you need contact info for me.

I'll send it to you as soon as I am finished with it....you can try it and see how it turns out.
