I like the top right one..... Whats the white stuff on the helm? Something to close the cracks up? Do you plan on making other stuff after this helm?

I do like the upper right one that one is second choice. I meant to say upper left hand corner. The half and Half version. The white stuff is a gap sealer a couple of places I had gap I didn't like. I over used the sealer on purpose. It is easy to sand and I wanted to make sure the job got done. I do plan on making more Helmets but nothing else just yet. I am working on a leather aventail for a helm I got on Ebay. I paid 40 bucks for the Helm so I though I would add to it then display it. I will start another helm once I have one of Halberds tool sets arrive. That will probably be awhile. So I will try to make the aventail. Although I am not very versed that area either.

I always make an effort to respond to my own theads especially when someone is so incredibly generous. I will defanatly take you up on that offer if your sure your ready to part with the railroad peice and anything else you have finished with. I am in great need of course. I will PM you very soon and see if we can work somthing out!!! Thanks agian!!

Here is the side and full cross painted red. Once the white is next to the red the red will look a great deal better (I hope). While the paint is not very good after 5 coats I cleaned it up a bit.

It's looking good, but what type of paint are you using? I've got a red and blue shield (pretty generic), I used spray paint and I put so many coats of red paint on, when the shield was complete, the red was very...red. My point is that when it's finished, because you've got it next to white, it will look very bright.

I am just using some cheap spray paint. It came out pretty well. I though the red was a little to bright but it looks pretty good. Check my ETC's complete Great Helm thread to see the finished pics.
