Inexpensive leather in New Hampshire

A couple of months ago my wife and I drove up to visit her family in Maine. While there I visited Prime Leather in New Hampshire, and bought eight (8) sides of boot leather quality leather (they make combat boots). It was the damaged pile, but frankly the pile was a movable dumpster. They charged me $20. For those who can VISIT the tannery, this may be a good source. Ask them (nicely) for their damaged leather.
Dark Victory -- this may be an easy and cheap option for covering thinner versions of your armour, and jacking up your price to offset the cost.
