Italian question

Italian question

On the early 15th cent. Italian shoulders, how does the right arm re-enforce plate suspend or attach to teh rest of the right shoulder's pauldron?

same as the left reinforce, via a staple and pin. I'm sure someone can post a picture, a quick google didnt turn anything up for me.
