I started on these before the great rewind.
this is my very first project, bear mk1

if you look you can see where I blew through the ears

since I screwed up on mk1 that brings me to bear mk2

Very nice. What is the brown goo in the pot you are hammering in to?

that would be pine pitch, a byproduct from cooking wood down to make charcoal, it provides support that is resilient, yet yields predictably.
it is actually greenish in color, but is slightly scorched from the propane torch.
