reinforced demi gauntlets

Post by kaiö »

Hi-

I need to make some demi gauntlets, so I thought I'd rivet some heavy leather in key places on a full glove. I've seen it done, and i like the way it came out.
I cant figure out what glove to use, however. Work gloves seem too cheap and thin, and street hockey gloves are either too expensive or too thick for what I want.

I usually use a heavy leather work glove and they have not died yet in any of my demi's or my pair of fulls. My Knights pair lasted many years before replacment and they leave you with a lot of stick feel still intact. Look around at events and you will see what I mean. Oh and you really should harden the leather otherwise you might be in for a very unwanted surprise.
