I’m putting together all steel legs with articulated knees for SCA fighting, which I’ve just gotten into. I’m looking for recommendations for commercial knee pads that I can wear under my legs, over my pants. Anyone got a good solution they want to share? How should the poleyns fit the circumference of the knee with the pad in place?

i wear Asics wrestling gel knees, tight supportive, low profile
you can actually wear a knee thats not the size of a helmet!

For the knees, I use a quilted linen 'blanket' that wraps around my knee(over the hose). Also helps with any chaffing from the strap behind the knee.

For SCA, I started wearing crash pad bike shorts under my leg armour, under the brais and hose. It really reduces the thigh bruising significantly.
