Anyone ever worked in Nitronic 50 Steel?

Post by Jean Paul de Sens »

One of my co-workers mentioned this steel, and so I checked it out. Was just curious if anyone had ever actually used it before.

Its supposed to be really hard and extremely corrosion resistant.

I have machined it before and it is a real bitch.

Tuffer than any stainless I have cut.

Must use carbide inserts.

I never did any sheet metal work with it.
