I went to historic enterprises to order a handfull of them for next week and they are out of them.

Anyone else carry them?

Derrick, you can make a reasonable facsimile yourself. Go to a jewelry site like

and buy some brass jewelry cones. The cones are too big as they come. So, take a very narrow leather working awl (or make a pointy mandrel of the correct dimensions), insert it in the cone and roll the cone tighter on the awl with your fingers. You may have to roll the cone against a hard surface like an anvil to get it tight enough. The resulting cones work well for points. Unlike the historic cones they overlap a lot but they still look pretty good. They are also a bit on the thin side so take your time rolling them or they may kink.
