I meant to post this a long time ago...but I'm a slacker.

Here is a photo of the new leather arms I made for myself early last year.

The cops are about 1/4" thick sole leather, water hardened (and hard as a rock). The design / pattern is my own, not based on anything in particular. Just what I thought looked good, works well in SCA combat, and is certainly plausible.



...feel free to ignore the ugly aluminum half gauntlets. Eventually, I'll replace those with leather ones.

I think the Sauza bottle right there is ... muy Conquistador.

I theenk he really means ¿Como? -- that being how they say it, apparently regarding ¿Qué? as crude and uncultured. It's a Spanish thing... anyway, it's the tequila, the swordhilt, and the armored fist...

LOL - now I get it. I didn't even realize the tequila box was in the background.

That picture is so metal. Light that sword on fire and unleash the BOOMYOW.
