Last year I bought a steel buckler from Valentine Armoury before they closed up their Canadian shop, and I love the thing. It's got a lovely weight and feel to it.
Only probem is it's got some fine, light rust on parts of its surface now. Not sure how it got that way, all of my other steel is intact.
The question now is- How do I get it off without having to polish the whole thing, or drastically refinish it?
getting light rust off of a buckler?

It there is a high polish on the buckler use chrome polish. If a satin finish you can use steel wool and 3n1 oil.
Then when done, clean it off with some windex, let dry, and apply some car wax to it.

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.
