Dishing patterns

Post by ArtemisGreen »

Yippee! Looks like i can post again. Thanks JT.
Anyways...
When making patterns from manilla folders and posterboard, how would you do a pattern for something that is dished (like a pauldron in my case). The lames were the easy part; i just can't get the shoulder done.

It looks like the side of a foot ball.

I like to use heavy duty kitchen tin foil.
Shape it and draw with a sharpie. Cut it out with scissors. Then flatten it out.

Now trace that on to your folder paper.

Botta boom botta bing... a pattern.

Hope that helped.
