Finished these up a little while ago. First thing I've done with brass in a long time. Brass trim is now available as an option on anything pricing will be based on the trim being done.
I think they turned out really nice what do you think of them?
There is a slight gap between the lames but it's there because of modern combat expectations. Kneeling bends the foot at an extreme angle. These sabatons have a 180 degree range of motion which will allow for more then your foot will be able to throw at them.

Real purty. My sense on latten trim is that it was generally tacked down with countersunk flush rivets rather than head-out rivets, though obviously the articulation rivets at the bottom of the brass-trimmed lames are doing double duty here. Have you considered offering a "premium" version of this design with a crease down the center of all pieces as well?

I'd wager more than half of the 14th century sabatons you'll find don't have a center crease. The Chartres ones do and they're studied a lot which can skew our perceptions of what's common, but most effigies have a smooth look like Matt's doing.
I found I got better articulation by deepening the arch in the lame pattern. As the lames become flatter near the toe you have to adjust the curve a bit so they all fit together when they're bent, but you can't change each line too much or the edges don't look parallel. It's fiddly work.

There's a bent pic on my site they're in the legs section.
I'll do center creases or flutes (they're different) on anything you want just ask for a price.
I know the rivets should be countersunk flush. I like the look of rivets though. Be happy to do them that way though.
I think I charged $50 for the brass on those. It all depends on what you want.
I think I have some underside pics but I'm not at home. Remind me this week if I forget to post them.
