Looking for helmet crest-box tutorial.

Well,

I can no longer impose on busy people, so I am hoping that someone may have a decent tutorial on building a crest-box to attach a crest to a Corinthian helmet.

I was able to find at our holiday faire (like a needle in a hay-stack) a very nice, brand new crest removed from an Indian helmet ( http://www.lawrensnest.com/images/GRK6058BP.jpg ) , I need to remove the suede-like cover of the wooden base and build a true crest box to attach it to the helm.

Any guidance would be really welcome.
