English footsoldiers

Post by Hugo de Stonham »

what kind of armour would the regular footsoldier have in the english army? I'm not sure the time period but something that includes a hauberk and possibly a kettel hat. Anything els he might have worn?

You really need to have a time period in mind before anyone can effectively answer your question.

The kettle hat was in use by at least 1250, as were hauberks. They both continued in use for a long time afterward.
