A Question about SCA shield edging

Post by Noe »

I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but here goes:

When I was last in the states, some poeple were putting a thin plastic trim on the edges of their aluminum shields to make them legal for fighting.

1) What is it called?

2) Where can I purchase it?

3) Can anyone recommend anything better?

Thank you!
Bring me my broadsword and clear understanding.

Some people use http://www.trimlok.com/

Here is one of the first places I found that sold it, but I make no claims as to their business quality as I've never ordered from them. Sometimes you can get it from hardware stores, not sure how available it is in Japan, but you could try an aftermarket auto store, one that sells upgrade parts.

If you really have trouble, PM me and I'll see what I can do to help.

I believe that you can order it from McMaster-Carr, though I can't find the link I thought I had saved.
You can order it from Windrose Armoury at,
