Of someone's trip to the MET Armour display? I think it was Morgan that put it up, but I can't remember.

Anyone still have that?

I still got em... if ya like I can e-mail them to you....just let me know how big the largest file your ISP will allow through, or the largest your connection can handle and I'll send em right over...

But be warned, unzipped they total 49.5 megs, zipped the file is 25 megs. There are 10 folders, so I can mostlikely get them down to a reasonable 2.5 megs each.

i was hosting them for a while on a FTP (had Seamus's permission of course)

if you knowhow to use FTP i can put them back up, on a 6.1MB/sec connection here so it might be alot quicker for me to put them than most, put em in rar files (in the size of you choosing) or zip files

or if ya want i can IM them to ya

let me know if ya wanna do either

Altros- the pics are not mine, and as such you did not need my permission... and I can just kick myself for forgetting who the kind soul was that did indeed take them...

It does sound like there is still interest in the set, and as such I think FTP would be the quickest source for all involved.

I don't know how to use FTP and the last time I tried sending an email with 12mb, the sysop asked me exactly what the hell I thought I was doing, so I think that if someone just hosts them online somewhere in a .zip format I can get them fine. I'm on a T1 here at work which should make short work of that 25meg file. Then I can burn it onto a CD and take it home.

okay guys go easy on me... its a small server. You will most likely only be able to get 20k/sec.

yup disk 10 is Christina... the gent who took the pics happened upon a film shoot while in the vacinity of the met (I believe).

Glad to know the link and zip file worked for you... I'll leave the link active for the weekend. I will be removing it Monday so as not to tip off my ISP with a huge bandwidth draw...

I live near NYC and will be going to the Met on Jan 20, so if there are any requests for photos of specific pieces, please let me know and I'll do my best to get them. Also, if anyone else is interested, there is a helmet exhibit from Special Collections that opens on the 25th.

Well, I downloaded all the pix at work on my T1 line, unzipped them, and tried writing them to my CDRW. When I got home, I couldn't access the disk. Grr. Grr. Snarle. Oh well. At least I can view them at work...

Heh.
I seem destined never to get this file.
My dial up at home kept breaking the connection.

And by the time I got a chance to download it at work, the file was gone.

Ah well.
