Nice work, GP. I feel you on the cold working. It hasn't been quite that cold here, but working out in -15 wether is not much fun either.

Here's my latest project.

1,5mm and 1mm steel, for boffer fighting.
Next up is an armet, but i don't have measurements yet so I'm thinking of making a SCA viking spangen and maybe I could put it in the classifieds for sale.

Thanks Somomailler!
Now I'm working on a new project, topfhelm.
2mm steel and I'll use 5mm steel rivets mostly.
Maybe I'll leave the ocular area/cross rough from the hammer and then heat blued? Rest of the helm polished.

New pics
Breaths are now done and the helm is ready for sanding and polishing. I think I'll have to put some brass behind the fleur de lis.

Looking good Tomi. Good idea on the brass too, it will keep the fleur from caving in and also look really neat. Have a good week.
Take care

Getting close...
Only back slats to sand and then this goes to the classifieds section.
Oculars are heat blued and then lightly scotch brited.

I made another kettle with a slightly different brim.
And I have a burgonet also in progress.
Tomorrow I'll start grinding and sanding those kettles.

You are a giant armor making robot that escaped from a secret government lab.
Would you happen to be using rough from the hammer tops? I was thinking of buying some.

I'm excited to see how that burgonet turns out. I would love it if it were like one of the less archetypal ones as seen on
this MyArmoury feature.

Who told you that? There's a leak...
No, I don't use pre dished tops. I make my own patterns and pieces.
And thanks to all of you!
Here's some new pics of the burgonet.

Fantastic.
Is this going to be a visored burgonet, or just with cheek plates?

I think you mean a Burg with a Falling Buffe.
Either way, I think this will turn out nice.

It's Ghostpig, of course it's going to turn out nice. The question is, will it turn out
