Thank you all! I feel very flattered!
I just try to do my best with every piece I make and I also try to do it in one week, if that's possible.
I started making gothic gauntlets today. They are 1,5mm cold rolled. They need some adjusting and more plates.
More tomorrow.

I really like some of your helmets! The style of this latest one reminds me a lot of Adam Berry's work; clean lines, and tasteful adaptations to SCA requirements. Was there any specific medieval source used for this one?

Thanks Lorccan!
I got some inspiration from White Mountain Armoury helms. but no medieval source, just my imagination.
This monday I finished the viking helm and today I got Andy's gauntlets done. I also started making a new pair of gothic arms.
Hi there

Arms are done and I started making my firs zunari kabuto.
That kabuto is 2mm crs but the nose piece is 1,5mm. I used my butane gas (lighter fuel?) torch to heat the jaw and nose and it worked. The steel got softer and it formed easier.
One question: should I weld couple bars behind the nose piece, or is it strong enough for sca fighting?

Thanks guys!
Tableau, I used blunt chisel, axe head, ball pein and a raising hammer (modified masonry hammer). First chiseled from the inside, then raised from the outside with the axe head.
Some new pics. I'll make the eye slots and some brass work today.

You do excellent work, my friend. I second the mentioning of your attention to detail, nice clean lines as well.
Not sure anyone answered you question at to whether or not you need bar behind the menpo for SCA combat-
What gauge was the steel when you started? Was it thinned a good deal? I say- could a support bar hurt- as added precaution? If you didn't start out with a stout piece such as 12 gauge, I'd look into it. My opinion of course.
Again- awesome work!

Thanks Chretien!
I welded some bars there just to make it stronger.
Here's some new pics of the phrygian helm. Couple brass pieces to add and then finishing work.

Finally found found some time to pick up the hammer again and to take some new commissions.
The first one is a basic norman spangenhelm. It is 1,5mm and 1mm crs.
It has been really hard to do anything this week because it has been so cold here. Today it was -30 degrees celcius. Cold working...

Really like the Norman. Nice lines and nice details. Very subtle, but very pretty.
