In regards to your specific fence, I bet you could have your uprights at twice the distance they are in the photo, so long as the saplings you weave are long enough, and still have a good sound fence. I intend to fence our ex-clay tennis court this Spring, as it is turned over into a Medieval garden, and I was looking for ways to make the process easier myself.

Hi Guran,

I think your plan to go the length and build it up in height across the whole length is a sound one. That is what the workers seem to be doing in the 15th century books of hours I have seen wattle fencing being done in.

Here are details from two of our three pavises which are finished now. We will be working on the last one today, and it should be completed well before christmas.

Those look great Bob! I love how you can see the progression of the seasons with your project progression.

Thanks Paul! Actually, the seasons change could be looked at as the state or rate of my procrastination.

We actually pushed out a lot of projects this year, due to my unfortunate idleness, probably finishing as many in one season as in the past 6 before it.

THanks Clay! We couldn't have done them without you!

I've been busting my butt todsy to get that coffer together, for after the Holidays, and I still owe you the two marble rollers for dog-hobbles. It has gotten a bit hectic up here with the holidays coming up.
