Great work!!

Funny you should mention that, I do have one of those and the Knight with the ax. As well as the full size version of the knight...Since I happened to play the knight in the film.
Here is a shot of yours truely with Frank (Yoda/ Miss Piggy) Oz.

This is why I have the picture below in the Pennsic house:

Here you go: The Indian is a replica toy version from the film, the knight is an original figure from the film.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for woodworking hints, but here goes.

On SCA-ish projcts, when I make stuff out of pre-ripped wood, I go over the exterior surface with a plane, so it takes off the outer sanded surface. It leaves an open grain that's just as smooth, and holds up under very close scrutiny.

Not that helpful a hint for a table, but better for a box that would get picked up.

I finally got up enough energy to finish the chests. Here is one of them. The hinges were made in 3 sections: the main vertical piece, the "sprays" and the squares at the end.
I cut the center section from 11 ga. and I then cut straight tapered strips from 11 ga., these were welded to the main center section, and the welds were forged out. Using a pin & plate jig, I curved the "sprays" from straight to the curve you see. Then the 16 ga. square end pcs. were added and welded on and the welds forged out. I "bumped" out and cut the squares with the same technique as on the other hinges.
I was going to add “sprays” (same pattern as the hinges) to all the sides of the chest, but couldn’t bring myself to making 16 more of these. (At some point I may cheat a bit and laser cut the others and add them.)
But for now at least they look a bit more period.
