Newest project - Birka Wallet

Post by Halvgrimr »

Since the 'create stuff' bug had bitten me and I am waiting on my A&C order, I decided to undertake something that I have been meaning to do for a while, a Birka Wallet.

I based my idea on this fellows work

The biggest difference is I layed mine out to be a trifold instead.

It was a slow day at work yesterday so I layed out the basic patterns

I hope to find some reasonably priced moose leather to make it but since my wallet is still in recover mode after GW if I dont come accross something reasonable priced soon I will probably just use something from Tandy's bargin bin:)

I assume your checker pattern is just representing were the leather thong is on the outside and inside and not holes right? Because it is slits not large square holes that make that effect.

I have always wanted to make a copy myself.
