My cousin has started dating a guy who is one of the performaers/joust trainees.
She asked for me advice on finding armor for him.
I looked at thier website, and through some photo albums (2010 the newest) but couldn't realy glean any information on what woudl be needed.
From the sound of it they are all on thier own to put togehter their own suit and arms.
Anybody have any familiarity/experience with them so I can try to point him in the right direction?

Blaz, ping Lloyd or one of the other folks who are connected with the pro jouster social groups. I just took a look at some of this troupe's stuff (pics and videos), and it looks like they do a mix of the Lees-style acrobatic show work and straight up balsa or closet poles (didn't take a long enough look to know if everything is pre-cut or not).
The acrobatic work requires more minimalist/lighter stuff as a minimum with a good wall-like shield to take breaks off of. The rest requires regular jousting armor, which you can do the acrobatic stuff in, but requires you to know more as far as how you fall and move to make it look/work right without a lot of hurt at the end of the day (easier to jump, tuck, and roll five times a day, five days a week if you don't have to do it with a bunch of plates trying to pinch you in a hundred places every time you come off).
A one-stop shop armourer without maybe completely breaking the bank here on the archive off the top of my head would be Gruber - he makes top notch stuff and was in the business years ago. For more options or if you are specifically looking for a local, I would really recommend your cousin get him connected with the other jousters in the region. Best source for info for getting good, cheap, work wear is generally someone who has been doing the job you're doing for enough years to have survived it. He might be on his own to kit himself out, but even taking inventory of what the rest of the troupe uses for gear will give him an appropriate shopping list to hand to an armourer who works on joust gear.

Yeah, the jousting groups have more activity over on FB. I lurk there a lot to learn what I can, so I can point you towards some of the groups if you want. Just let me know.

from the pictures I saw, it looked like a bunch o them had Mercs Tailor stuff. I told him to go there, and that Al wouldn't do him wrong.
