Some will recall the auction that Halberds offered on here for a beautiful blued Norman conical with a brass nasal. I was fortunate enough to become the proud owner of it. However, after receiving the helm and seeing the excellent work and attention to detail that went into it, I felt I had to "balance the karmic scales" if you will as truly, I felt I didn't pay enough for the quality of work that went into it.
Thus, I made this for dear Halberds and sent it down as a suprise. And, I do believe, he was.
It's a simple 9"x12" blank sketchbook covered with leather, tooled, dyed and sewn up. It was even sewn together during an SCA tournament here in Ealdormere so there's a little bit of combat in it.
Thank you again kind sir for the most beautiful helm.
