Going to Birka?

Post by MJBlazek »

Who's going to be at Birka?

I was thinking about stopping by and checking it out!

Is there going to be an AA meet-up?

I met some of you at GNEW, would love to see you all again and meet new people too!

I need a midwinter medieval shopping fix too.

I'll be there... Unfortunatly not fighting.... Still sidelined for a bit.

If there are more archive people there, I'd love to do an informal meeting to put faces to names :)

I will definitely be there...I would love to finally meet some of you that I haven't met already...We should definitely do a meet-and-greet for archivers going.

Unfortunately I will not be fighting...I have put the finishing touches of my new rig on the back-burner until after our child is born and then it's on!

D...We need to hook up...I got some a new Stout and a Belgian Ale that you should try. Hell if I could bring some into the Convention hall I would pour a bit of each into some of your tankards.

.

See you guys there!

Do you want to split the gas/ride with me? I'm doing the exact same as you. :) And, I'm looking to avoid taking my car up there, as I need new tires and wiper blades and don't have time to get that done before this weekend.

If interested, please PM me!

I'll be heading up there on Friday. I will be merchanting (X-chairs, small purses, viking-style tunics, wicklebanders, etc). I should have a sitting area (benches and a couple of chairs) - if folks want to come and hang out there for awhile. :)

Look for Argent Needle, LLC on the merchant map.

Well, we could meet at JD's Tavern inside the convention centre after the main fighting is done...say between 2:15-2:30p? It would be cool to meet and have a few drinks as well.

Just a thought...

I can't go, I'll be in Philly for the ARS armour workshop, then taking James Gillaspie to NYC to see the Met armour. But you should all buy Muriel's chairs, they are amazing (I have three of the standard size and my wife and kid love them too).

Is the SCA a better place for having you in it? If not, what are you doing there?

Last chance, should we who are going to Birka meet up somewhere or simply run into each other as the day wears on. I only know a couple of you and would love to know many more.

In any case, see you all there!

Although I didn't get to go to the gathering (did it happen??) - I did get to meet Sir Angus. And we got to talk about the Emprise.
