My Glastonbury Chair

Post by AvM »

BaronConal was kind enough to invite me to his shop, allow me to use his pattern and tools, and provide guidance and assistance in making a Glastonbury Chair.

This is the result:

It's Red Oak, finished with General Finishes Arm-R-Seal Oil and Urethane Topcoat (Semigloss).
I'm very pleased with it.

 Too bad about the nieghbors complaining and wanting you to get it off the lawn.

Just pack it up and send it to me. I'll hide it in my pavilion.

If you make another let me know, my wife would like to hide one in the pavilion too.

Looks real good!

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Lovely chair.......I bought a couple of the Glastonbury "style" chairs that were at World Market a few years ago, and have been lusting after the "real" thing for quite some time.....
