Hi All,

We attended the NH renn Fair this weekend past, as a part of our negotiations for future events on the property the Fair is held on. While it was a typical fantasy Ren Fair, it did give us a civilian population to interact with, so we took on the role of a 'garrison' imposed on them. We also got to teach some good lessons straight froim judicial records in Burgundian territory, why armies were usually found as unpleasant companions for a civilian population.

The comic that follows is inspired by some of our activities at the fair - pardon any farbiness, one of the persons in a line up is a young girl 'pirate', volunteer, from another group, that 'stole' some valuables from a vendor, for a scripted mob confrontation, so her only borrowed kit is an over large livery, a glaive, and a helmet (wait, she isn't wearing the loaned helmet, hmmm...)

The "victim" in our activity-inspired comic is John Ramsden, of Nevilles, who wasn't actually victimized, but the photo was appropriate for the comic.

here is the angry mob confrontation

Which just goes to show you foriegners have tails, and dress funny.

I was in harness day 1, but I blew out three arming points, so I was in my gentlemans clothing for the second days activity, which is unfortunately all we have recorded, as the camera was walk-about day 1.

I guess this is as good a picture I have of my civil togs, Too bad you can't see my new silk braided aguilets, with silver-gilt chapes.

It wasn't bad for a Ren Fair, which we don't do, unless they are for charities. They had a decent turn-out, so I am told, and it went as well as could possibly be expected.

You lucky dog!

I've been wanting to stab Ramsden for years!

No Stabbing of John actually occured, nor was he a part of the protection racket scheme Morgan was running. :)

Jenn just looked at the photos, and put them together to tell a story. I thought it was pretty clever.

That was awesome...

I hope that begins a trend of comics!

THanks Leo, Jenn will appreciate that.

Next year, God willing, I'll have Norm and Phantom there, as they are giving us more space. The quarters were unbelievably tight.
