I hope they do some sort of vetting. We've seen some pretty horrid groups at certain venues the last couple of years.

I think the "oar-tent" is glorious. I think this because I've been turning the same idea over in my mind for some time. I had envisioned a striped sail, though, mostly because that invokes "Viking" in peoples' minds.

As far as I know, there's no hard support for the idea, but it's encouraging that others have seen the possibilities. I'd be interested in opinions on it, either yeah or nay.

As for the event, I'm not ready this year, but I'd be receptive to it next year.

Oar Tent:

Actually, that's our "basket weave" storm sail used as the tent fly; so it's a "Viking" tent after all. Besides, it is sheltering a guest of some import, as you can see. :D
