The Hackamores are putting on a big IJL tournament in Seraing, Belgium this weekend. Here are a few images of Jeffrey Hedgecock from that event:

Jeff travels to Normandy for an event next weekend.

YW Gwen! I really loved the crinet, it was a nice touch.
Wish Jeff good luck from us for the event in Normandy!

Fred Piraux won the tournament. Jeff scored 1 point less than Fred and came in second. Dominic Sewell finished third.

Fred, Jeff, then Dom, no shame in that lineup. Must have been a heck of a tournament.

I haven't heard much about the tournament Lee, so I couldn't say. All I know is that Jeff was pleased with his performance. He's never ridden Mutley and said he was quite a handful, but that Jeff liked him a lot. I imagine I'll hear more about things when he gets back.
Here are some pictures of Jeff's new shaffron and crinet:

They are based on the shaffron and crinet worn by the Duke's horses in Rene's Book of the Tournament:

Yeah, I noticed the shaffron based on René d´Anjou. I wondered, does it also feature the internal structure from the book or is it only padding? I forgot to ask Jeff. It looked great!
Mutley was quite stubborn indeed at first, later on he was more cooperative. Last year he seemed more collected when Will was riding him.

There is no 'internal structure' specified for the shaffron and crinet in Rene'. Did you mean the hourd under the caparison in Rene'? If so, the answer is no, Jeff did not have a hourd. The hourd is only used in the melee, not for jousting. Jeff's caparison has no padding of any sort, it's just the fancy outside fabric and lining.

I indeed meant the hourd under the caparison. I asked because it seemed like there was a cushion/padding in front under the caparison, but it must be my mind playing tricks on me. Maybe because I recognised the style, I don't know.
Damn, I'm tired.. Must reread my writing better to make comprehensible sentences.
Edit:
I figured it out. This guy did have some sort of padding/makeshift hourd under/inside his caparison:
Because of the image of René's Tournament book you posted, my mind jumbled my memories. Time to logout and get some sleep I guess..

Ah OK! No worries, you just confused me there for a while! I understand though.
