We digress. Back to Pennsic pictures.
Here are 3 shots from the "Gates of Rome battle". I tried to take a wide angle view of first one side, then the empty battlefield, then the other side just before they started the battle. Although I think I got everyone in the shot, details are hard to make out in these photos.

And here is a small portion of the initial charge, with the Atlantian army in the forefront, and I can make out the yellow of Iron Lance behind them.

And here the two armies meet in the middle. I believe that is my good friend Pagan Grendel of Atlantia in the green and white of Duke Baudouin's household that is running into the spear.

32 days! (But who's counting? Only a few on this list, I'm sure...)

It was wondeful to see you this weekend my friend. I hope you do decide to come down for Summer War, it's always great to see you!

You know how much photoshop work it is to create a "lovely photo" of you?
Actually, I posted those while taking a break from working on those Storvik Novice pics, just like I'm doing now. I should have those up in a few days.
But since you insist:
Sir Bryce de Byram, Baron of Caer Maer, Laurel, Pelican, etc., etc., etc... doing his best drowned... Baron impression at a rainy event (luckily, it did clear up later).
Good to see you too. Summer War... maybe.

P.S. Sorry about the digression, after I was the one who brought it up.

Leave the SCA better than you found it. Fight alot of cool people along the way.

In the second shot there's a Calontiri on the left, some Rhoad guys from Ansteorra, I think there's a Moritu person mixed in (looks like Otter to me), then some heraldry I don't recognize, then an Eldormirian on the right.
The third shot, bottom middle (a bit to the left) is that Geoffrey Scott again? He's a Westie. The black and gold guys are Darkmoon- Midrealm.
Most of the people in the middle photo are Ealdormerians displaying personal or household heraldry.

Oh ya I remember that! I believe that's where my "An afternoon shower from inside the wagon" photo comes from.
But truth-to-tell least year the weather was mighty fine! Just enough wind to keep all the flags and pennants flying, overcast battlefield very little bad weather...damn fine Pennsic.

My ninth year this year for the SCA means sadly no tenth Pennsic..
=(
I auth'd about 3 weeks prior and had been in SCA 2 months.. Pennsic was my first event.
This year I am doing my duty for my family.. furthering my education. Loving all the pictures of Pennsic. Maybe the next time I go I will capture again that OH GEE magic I had at my first 5 or so =D
Sir Bryce those Bad Moments are often great moments =D. I remember fondly several times running crazy through out the Serengeti (night or day) during bad stroms helping people get their pavillions in order.
I can look forward to one thing this year.. not having The Plague (tm) break out on my baby of a Richard Jones mild steel helm =D

Not sure if it is still needed, but I found this neat little site a while back. You simply upload your pics, choose a size, and then hit the button. It resizes it and allows you to right click and download the new versions.

While we're posting scary storm pictures. How about this one from 2007. I like to call that the "damp Pennsic." I think this particular storm is the one that collapsed our baronial day shade.
But of course, moments like this one make it all worth it. I think I'm in there somewhere, and looking at this pic makes me want to be back in there.

So damn out of it i forgot my gambeson and my cup for practice, dunno what i'm gonna do at Pennsic.
That means i'll not have practiced in 2 weeks when i get back from my folks
And i still have work to do and it's not getting done with me in B'ham or at Pennsic.
Plus my gear is dang near falling apart
I've really been disrespectful to everyones work who built my gear in my current level or maintence. I'm sorry.
I'm not maintaing my franchise i'm being such a dang merchant "some work estate" schmoe.
