What is your "standard fit" ? do you ahve some measurements?

Torum, my standard fit means that I make them to fit my hand. I have very long fingers so i use an x-large glove. I'm currently useing size 12 elkskin gloves that I get from Aerostich.com , expensive, but they are by far the finest gloves I've found in 20 years of making gauntlets. They have a sizing chart on their website. By the way , I'm currently looking into getting blackening salts so I am resonably certain I be able to offer ablack oxide finish on the next batch.

Grettir, screw everybody else! Please have a set for me at Pennsic... I'll pay you there... I believe we did a hand comparison before and my hands are about the same size as yours, (minus the longish fingers).
Blackened or non shiny would be great.

And let me just say the elkskin gloves are pretty awesome. Little warm, but this is outweighed by the facts that the elkskin provides some built in padding due to it being thick and spongy. The spongy feeling also helps with grip. My complaints with prior versions of Grettir gauntlets I had borrowed before my set was the leather gloves had a slick grip. Not so with the elkskin, they really hold well.

Seconded... I've had mine for about 10 years and love them so much I tracked him down and bought material to ship to him for a second pair in case mine ever get lost. I'm not sure I could bounce a baseball bat off of them without feeling it, but I've never been injured in them, and the only discomfort I've every felt is when I don't make sure the strapping is complete and let something slip out... stupid of me, but the gauntlets are rock solid.
