These filthy infidels have been in the Holy City too long!

I, Faruk el Baz, shall raise a unit of Turkomen cavalry to aid the Great Salahadin rid this land of the Infidel and his blasphemous workings.

I long to see an army of the Faithful, but should it be only myself, the Great Salahadin, and my bretheren, than it shall be as God has determined it will be.

we shall spill the blood of the Infidel, for it is worthy that we do so.

What say you?! I long to hear an outcry from the Faithful, and pledges of warriors and gold for this holy cause!

I have consulted the histories to determine for whom the emperor would declare. My research was...inconclusive.

It seems that his Imperial Majesty wishes to make a treaty with the Muslim forces while imploring the franks for aid.

If only I knew what date on which your assault would fall, I would know on which side to declare. Alas, you may not wish to reveal that information, for fear that I am with your enemy already.

(period date mind you, not modern. I can look that up easily enough in the battlefield schedule)
