Fellow Archivists,

I hope I have done some good here, raising awareness that the continuing animosity between various factions is doing a slow, lasting harm to the society for creative anachronism. That animosity is now extant in nearly every current CA discussion on this board. Having expressed my positions fully, I retire from the discussion until something of note occurs.

I am thankful I live in a kingdom where I can get plenty of melees both with and without CA. I can only express admiration for the Kingdom of Caid in hosting an Alden style day of fighting (Saturday) at GWW. Last year was a blast; I look forward to this year doing it again. I encourage those in positions of authority, many of whom are either archivists here or who are advised by archivists, to move past denial that there are issues and make informed and compassionate decisions that will mitigate the ongoing displays of temper that cause lasting harm.

I'm all for everyone learning to negotiate. Stuff like Duke Logan's doing in Atlantia seem to be making both parties pretty happy.
