Looks like we won't be making it afterall. I'm just getting off some kind of cold/flu and now my lady is getting ill. Camping out in the cold and wet this weekend will not help her.

We've been looking forward to BAM all year but I don't want to endanger my lady's health, no matter how wonderfully amazing BAM is. Besides, this will let us do more packing for moving into our new house.

Have fun and be safe.

I'm heading out Friday, fighting with the Bryn Gwlad war company. If you want to find Maelgwyn, Artorius, Audax, Sextus or me, look for halberds on a black bend.

Spearweasel fights with our war company too. Do you have a tabard?

I'd like to offer a sort of a bounty. If you can bring me pictures of the Bryn Gwlad War Company kicking bootay at BAM I'll make sure you get something nice to drink. I'm bringing a keg of 14th century German sage mead, a raspberry dunkelweisen and a little cider. I'll reward you for good pics of Greenshield too, just because he looks awesome.

Tragically I had to bail at the last minute. My son came down quite sick. I am bumming about missing it.

WOW.

That was a blast.

William, thanks for arching for us in the ravine. I was glad you were on our side. :)

I ran into Greggor a couple of times during the ravine but couldn't find ya after the fight to properly introduce myself.

Fighting in the castle was great, but 12' spears suck. (we only had 9 footers)

Sir Morgan, good to see ya again, next time I need to make sure I have my shield handy for pickups.

Zombie battle....wow. BRAIIIINNNSSS! CHAAAAIIIINNNNS! or GRRRRAAAAIINNSSS!

I suspect that battle was the brainchild of the folks INSIDE the castle.

We get unlimited resses and NO shields and only one stick to fight with?
We only die from head shots? That sounds reasonable, whats the catch?

The castle is full of Knights, Counts and Dukes.
Yeah I still feel the stripes on my back from that.

Thanks Ansteorra for a fun weekend, see yall at Gulf!

Bryn Gwlad War Company, hmmm I think we ran into those guys a few times ; )

For those of you who missed it, BAM was, in the words of HRM of Ansteorra, "AWESOME". The ravine battle on Friday was an absolute blast and despite the rain, the Saturday fights were even better.

The hospitality of TRM Owen and Genevria, Their Excellencies Bordermarch, Santiago and Elisabeth, and the people of Ansteorra is limitless. As always, we are already looking forward to next year!

I do indeed, Sir Gaston. I was there Friday and fought in the ravine battle, but opted for a different venue on Saturday - instead I accompanied a lady friend about the TRF for the day, while her husband was stuck at the "Art of Defense" show. As his best man, it was my solemn duty to be seen in the company of one beautiful lady, who introduced me to many other beautiful ladies over the course of the day. It was just as rainy and cold, but a bit less taxing than battles would have been. :D

Anybody got links to pictures?

The catch to the zombie attackers was while they only had to call head shots, they still got hit other places. It looked like what most zombies ended up getting was PAIINNSSS!!!

Was a great time, despite the weather.

Considering the size of my helm and the skillset of the folks swinging at me, I thought I would have less stripes.

PAAAAIIIINNNSSS indeed, at least they are gone now.

I think yall were just being hateful. ;)

Yes PAINNNS were quite abundant, but BRAINS were had in the end! I think the Monkey doesn't like the rain, but loves the easy targets....
